Dirty Day @ Seedlings Class

April 29, 2010

Today was all about dirt, mud, bugs, snakes & the greenhouse! Charlie enjoyed the dirt, not so much the mud, played with a bumblebee puppet, touched a Boa constrictor, made a plant, and danced with the instruments. This was probably one of his favorite days!!!

Charlie is more brave than I am! Wait, when I was a kid I used to pop out the tiny feet on snakes. Either way, there is no way in hades that I would touch that ugly snake!
A story pops into my mind. When we lived in the green hut somehow a small garter snake came in towards the cat box. It was night and I took a shower. I didn’t leave the hall light on and almost stepped on it. Jim came to my rescue (sorta) with a jewel shopping bag and a reaching pole. He asked why the snake was so mad. I think that it had something to do with me almost stepping on it. Ever since that day I never wanted to be near a snake again! I wonder if he remembers that.
