St. Patty’s Day

March 18, 2011

Every year, we head to my mom’s for her AH-mazing corned beef sandwiches and to enjoy a little Guinness (Jim does). This year was no different, but we DID add in a new tradition of visiting Lake Katherine to enjoy the turning of the waterfall green! We opted to head there early, walked the entire trail (Jack was in the Moby – that was a workout!), and then planted on a bench with a prime spot for the festivities. Charlie enjoyed copious amounts of Green River, siphoned some beads off of a senior citizen, and fell asleep with a cupcake in his dirt-covered hand. A wonderful day indeed!

Spring is coming!

Did they color the whole water green or did they just stop after a certain point? I was just there Saturday and the water wasn’t green at all. Last year they didn’t color it all the way. I hope Charlie had fun. I saw two swans there the other day. Last year they had five.
