Firetruck Santa

December 10, 2011

Ever since I was a kid, I have always LOVED seeing Santa greet the local neighborhood kids while riding a firetruck! This year, we stopped at my parents’ house in the town I grew up in, had some yummy breakfast (thanks, mom!), and waited for St. Nick to appear. After a few sneak peek drives by Poppy, we quickly heard the jingling bells accompanying his arrival! (No firetruck this year, but still just as exciting!) The white bag of candy is always displayed prominently for the weeks following!

I always loved that, too. My neighbor, Ron, worked for the fire department and got them to go down our street FIRST one year. We thought that was the greatest thing ever.

They don’t do anything remotely like that in Colorado šŸ™

Also, when we were kids, it was most definitely a brown, paper bag full of candy. It wasn’t white!
