When an unfortunate accident {think a car, a bridge, and a busy four-lane highway} left us with this:
The opportunity to explore Walmart Family Mobile plans {#FamilyMobileSaves, #cbias} couldn’t have come at a better time. Having kept the same family plan for over ten years with the same company, we are not usually likely to jump ship to find something new. We have been happy with our service, connection, pricing, and what all is included. Knowing that we don’t have unlimited talk, text & data, however, left room for something better (and a smashed phone also seemed to help this process along). After hearing that Walmart Family Mobile offers the lowest price rate plan and that you have access to some of the best wireless service around, I thought it would be a good opportunity to try it out.
{Did I mention the plan for each phone line is only $40 a month? This is nearly half of what we are currently paying AND it’s unlimited!}
Nowadays, with kids going in twenty directions, parents working, and life on-the-go, families are always looking for ways to stay connected without killing their budget. About five years ago, we dropped our landline and opted to use our cell phones for just about every means to connect with other people. Two years ago, we bumped up to smart phones and with our current plan, we pay a base amount plus a data charge per month. Whether I’m out with the boys and need directions or I have to answer a quick work email, having a phone that does all that makes life much easier.
Once the phone was shipped to my home, I simply needed to head to Walmart to pick up my Starter Kit (one time cost of $25):
The kits were easy to find and on display (and in fact, my store was nearing the end of their supply – an associate shared that these plans have become very popular in recent months). You can Buy a Phone in-store or simply bring in your own and the activation is simple. {You will need to purchase a starter kit for each phone.} Then, you can either activate the phone online or by calling the activation line. I opted to set things up online since that seemed like the quickest and easiest way. My activation look less than ten minutes and in the process set-up an online account to access my bill and phone information.
So what makes this cheap wireless plan so special?
You received unlimited talk, text & web for every line activated (which means that if you send 1,000s of texts a month like my niece and myself, this is good news for you!) No annual contract, no credit check & no deposit. Bruised credit? No worries. And no need to feel locked into something if for some reason you change your mind down the line. Live customer support 7 days a week and no overage charges. #FamilyMobileSaves #cbias
Since activating the phone, my husband has used it to text me about a power outage at work, my niece has uploaded approximately 700 photos to Instagram, I was able to download a game to keep my son occupied at a restaurant, and it came in handy when I had to spend over one hour on the phone with a customer service representative. All the information was transmitted quickly and I never lost the one hour phone call despite moving through different cities & areas. I didn’t have to spend hours signing contracts or reviewing what’s included in my plan, it’s all right there are on the flip cover of whatever phone you purchase.
As a blogger, mom, & family and friend socialite, this plan makes it easy to live life without breaking the bank. What do you you usually look for in a great cell phone plan or service?

Oh my your poor electronics! I would be SO mad if that happened to me. $40 is a great price for an unlimited plan. Thanks for sharing.
