With a blog name like the one we have and a son named Charlie, we LOVE The Peanuts Gang and the fact that they are jumping into the BIG screen in The Peanuts Movie in Theaters this Fall makes us beyond excited. From watching the holiday episodes over and over to making homemade Halloween costumes, we are obsessed with Charlie Brown and his crew.
In honor of the upcoming movie, we opted to throw our own Charlie Brown-inspired Thanksgiving feast, including a few extras to incorporate a bit more Tyson, like Tyson® Chicken Nuggets. We’ve even gone so far as to incorporate some of these elements into our family’s Thanksgiving celebration each year.
Putting together a quick Thanksgiving feast is simple, especially when you do it Charlie Brown style. The little touches can make all the difference, but in this case, are extremely simple to put together. For decor, grab everything Fall-related that you can. For my tablescape, I picked up a Thankful banner (will use all season long), grabbed the tablecloth with beautiful leaves and incorporated hints of burlap and chevron (HELLO, Charlie Brown).
To make it look a bit more “fancy,” I wrapped the silverware quickly in a napkin and tied it up with some string. A finished look without a ton of effort. These burlap placemats also make a great Fall addition.
Before incorporating the protein-packed snacks, be sure to have the essentials: jelly beans (fun, mismatched containers for displaying are key), popcorn, and toast. I served jelly, peanut butter, and butter with ours.

I opted for the dino shapes because they are more fun for dipping and who doesn’t love the ability to play with their food? To jazz things up Schroeder-style, I put together a few quick dips together. I loved creating these additions because I had everything I needed in my pantry which means putting together the rest of our Thanksgiving feast was a breeze!
Want to add a little sweet treat to the mix? Put together a Pigpen “Dirty” Root Beer Float. For these, you will just need your favorite Root Beer and chocolate ice cream, making things a little “dirty” and muddy.
